| Bio: | I am very happily married to my best friend, Jennifer. We met at 3:00 a.m. one morning at a science fiction convention. Of my immediate family, I am closest in temperment to my sister Linda, who is much prettier yet more bitter and cynical. I enjoy animé and sci fi. Some favourites include: Aa! Megamisama!, Hoshi no Koe, The Mote in God's Eye, Nana, Noir, Princess Nine, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Strawberry Panic, Witch Hunter Robin, Starship Troopers (the book), and the original Star Wars trilogy. (Not the 20-year "special edition" foisted upon us by Mr. Lucas - Han shoots first!) I am a student of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, a 450-year-old school of iaido, the art of drawing the sword. In Japanese: I = being, AI = harmony, DO = way, thus "The way of harmonising oneself in action.” After 7 years and 2nd dan, I am only starting to be worthy of my teachers. I modify and paint miniature figurines for tabletop gaming. I spend way more time painting than gaming. As a result, I take mini-painting perhaps too seriously. Two words: Information Security. I volunteer weekly for our local food bank, Winnipeg Harvest. Even here in North America, kids are going hungry. | |||||
